Prairie Fund Purpose

The purpose of the Prairie Fund is to provide resources to supplement the annual shortfall in funding for our children’s education. These resources are utilized to promote excellence at Prairie by supporting delivery of special programs and necessary services thereby enhancing the learning environment for all children, increasing the effectiveness of instruction and strengthening ties between Prairie and the community.

For the 2024-25 school year, the Prairie Fund provides funds for one (1) interventionist positions to support education enrichment.

  • Interventionists specialize in reading and math interventions for all grades K-6. They collaborate with teacher teams to provide research-based intervention during WIN (What I Need) time while classroom teachers and aides provide support and enrichment activities.

The Prairie Fund collects donations through sponsorships, events like the Prairie Auction and Grade-level parties, and through other general donations.

  • Learn more about this school year's class parties by visiting the Grade-Level Party Donations page.
  • Check out the Team Prairie site to see what the 23-24 Prairie Fund and Auction team brought together to raise over $135,000.
